driver side power window??

This is a discussion on driver side power window?? within the General Tech Discussion forums, part of the W Body Tech category; it stoped working last summer...i figured now that its in storage it would be a good time to fix it ...

    Default driver side power window??

    it stoped working last summer...i figured now that its in storage it would be a good time to fix it the passenger one stil works fine, so i ordered a new motor and pluged it in and still dont work??? is there something else i should look at?

    E85, Gen V, TOG Headers, 2.55 w/ SFI balancer, 3PE, Tranny, NIC Cam, 1.7 Yella Terra Rockers, LS6 springs, ...goood day sirrr ryan carter tuning

    im confused the passenger works when you press it on either side but drivers side dosent work

    the switch is bad im guessing. if you can, take off the switch, the gray part and use a tooth pick or something of the same size to push the pin inside of it with.

    hmm alright guess i should have asked/tryed the swith befor i speny 80 and ripped my door apart ......thanks though man

    did you change the regulator too? but yeah thats the common problem whenever you cant get a window to go down or up and you know that the motor is good. coupes also, will blow a motor before a sedan too due to the window size.

    you could try to take the switch out and spray it down with electrical parts cleaner, it may work if the button still feels like its clicking when you move it.

    or the switch could be bad all together.

    ya i bought the whole regulator...i think it was going bad anyways, so maybe ill just go to junk yard and pick up a new switch and try that

    like i said, try hitting the pin to see if thats it, or like scotty said, go to a jy and grab a new switch. a 4 door switch will work im sure so you dont have to look for a coupe.. good thing about small **** like that, easy to hide

    The switches are always a problem... Easy fix if you have some patience and it'll save you some $$$
