Drive Belt Removal (L36) 1. remove the drive belt tensioner by lifting or rotating the drive belt tensioner off of the drive belt, using a 15mm box end wrench on the pulley nut. 2. remove drive belt Drive Belt Installation (L36) 1. lift or rotating the drive belt tensioner, using a 15 mm box end wrench on the pulley nut. 2. install drive belt Make sure that the drive belt is aligned into the proper grooves of the accessory drive belt pulleys. Drive Belt Removal (L67) The supercharged 3800 engine utilizes two drive belts. The outer drive belt drives the supercharger. The inner drive belt drives the following components: All driven accessories rigidly mount to the engine. Spring-loaded belt tensioners maintain the drive belt tension. Each drive belt has its own tensioner. A drive belt squeak, occurring when the engine starts or stops, is normal and has no effect on the durability of the drive belt tension over a broad range of drive belt to the tensioner's compensation ability. Poor tension control and/or damage to the tensioner may occur after using the tensioner outside of its operating range. Replace the drive belt when this occurs. 1. lift or rotate the supercharger drive belt tensioner using a 15 mm box end wrench on the pulley nut. 2. remove the supercharger drive belt. 3. lift or rotate the drive belt tensioner using a 15 mm box end wrench on the pulley nut. 4. remove the drive belt. Drive Belt Installation (L67) 1. lift or rotate the drive belt tensioner using a 15 mm box end wrench on the pulley nut. 2. install the drive belt. 3. lift or rotate the supercharger drive belt tensioner using a 15 mm box end wrench on the pulley nut. 4. install the supercharger drive belt. |
