    Default Door speakers

Has anyone upgraded there door speakers? Stock size seems kinda small and I am looking to do some upgrading for clarity and loudness. May end up just having some pods made to run 2 6.5s and a super tweeter. Still on the fence with what I want. Just seeing if anyone has done anything different with the grand prixs yet.

Almost anything will be better than stock. Polks sound great and are pretty damn cheap. But if you want serious clarity and loudness you should get some component 6.5's for your doors.

I'm thinking doing pods in the doors with a pair of 6.5s and a super tweeter in a good amp. I already have my sub stage done and ready for spring shows.

Wow you could smuggle like 12 mexicans in that box make some fast cash. Anyway I replaced all of my speakers with aftermarket. The doors I went with stock size. Sounds decent at low volume but once I turn up the power to speakers starts poping bad.
I really should have gone with 6.5's. Im pushing the max watt the little speakers will handle and they dont like it. Lots of ppl on here have replaced the doors with 6.5's you just have to trim some of the plastic so they fit.

I almost garuntee I won't hear just 1 set of components over the 2 18s looking at it now. I may have to do a little molding and mount 2 sets of components.

The grille may be 5.25 but I'm fairly certain the speakers are 6.5's.

y didnt u just take the door panel off to measure it? thatd be more accurate anyways and takes away the risk of screwing up the speaker grille

I'm gonna have to have a pod built for what I want to do. I'm looking to have 2 6.5 pro audio mids in each door. 1 wont even fit in the stock location.
