DEI remote start

Okay got a 2000 Grand Prix GT, bought it not even a month ago. Under the hood there is the sticker that says its equipped wit a DEI remote start. The keypads that come wit the car arent GM but they have foor buttons, unlock lock panic and AUX which is for the trunk. Any idea on how to use the remote start?
I know im new and i already searched this but nothing came up about how to use it so please dont tell me to search.

it's usually the star button twice but pics would help so i can find the model. directed has like 10 brands or remote starts

I have a avital remote start, for mine its press unlock and lock buttons at the same time.

For my DEI remote start you have to hold down the star for approx 4 seconds or so. When you let go, the car will start within a few seconds. I believe that the configuration depends on the way the installer configured it. On my old car i had to press the button twice to autostart. Just my 2 cents.

find the model number (look under the drivers side dash panels) and look up the manual for it
