A couple of questions.

Is an 99-03 Grand Prix GTP a good first car?

I will have around $1100 to spend when I get it could I break into the 13's with that?

Are there any differences between the coup and the 4 door models?

Not much difference. The coupe's are actually an inch longer than 4 door models. Go figure.

Kind of a noob to cars haha so I was wondering what mods I should do?

Well it's really up to you. But as far as performance goes..... Don't touch the pulley on the car untill you have some exhaust and intake mods.

dont forget to make sure maitence is up to par tho before you go moding it.

depending upon the owner before you either the car could be a dream or a nightmare. i know i got a nightmare car from the guy before me.

my 3rd gear went out a week after i got mine, other than that it was pretty good.

haha, always check the oil. look at it, feel it. feel it. smell it. always.

Also would buying one with 90,000+ miles be a bad idea

a basic 3.4 setup will run 13s all day long.

as long as it has been taken care of then there is nothing to worry about.

Could you explain to me what a 3.4 setup is haha like I said I love cars, but have no clue about all the technical stuff, but I am try to learn

i would go with headers, intake, ported or aftermarket throttle body, maybe even some rockers, then a 3.4 with a good tune. i would say easy 13's with that.
