2001 Grand Prix GTP Coupe - Black
-CAI, P&P Gen 3, 3.4 MPS, Headers/3.5" DP, Overkill Tune, AL 104`s, 8mm Wires, ran 14.3 @ 95 on street tires and subs in trunk
more power than stock, more torque than stock, easier on valvetrain than the bigger cams, less power than bigger cams.
cool?
thank you, so if i plan on getting intercooled and staying between 3.0 - 3.2 (pulley) it would be fine, im guessing so

i've seen people push the VS just as far as the rest of the other cams. i don't see why it'd ever be a bad choice.
Love my new VS Cam. Go for it.
Gen V, 3.0, Stage 2 heads, XP Cam, SD Headers, N*, LQ4, ZZP Stage 2 Gen 3 Intercooler, CAI, AL 104's Gapped to .055, #130 Springs, 42.5lb Injectors, ZZP Tune.
Is the VS all loud and lopey like the XP is? Or does it retain more of a stock exhaust sound?
Also, with the VS or any aftermarket cam... is the power difference throughout the whole rpm band?
Or is it like hv3 or headers where you'd only really see a difference higher in the rpms?

Vs is gears more toward the lower to mid upper range versus the xp which is more higher range. It's loopy of course but not easily noticeable like the xp. there is no substitute for the cam so headers wouldn't be a close comparison. I went the vs route since i plan on IC down the road and didn't want a real aggressive cam and wanted to keep it as DD friendly as I could.
either cam will add power across the entire power band. XP adds more above 5700 than a VS.
Imo, if idle speed is set correctly, a VS shouldnt lope, and an XP should sound like an epic misfire.
youtube would be your best bet
