    Default Coil overs ????

Hey guys! I am redoing the entire suspension on the car, and i am really leaning to getting the HT kit. Question is what spring are they using? Is it the Hyperco spring? I see on the ht website that they use Koni inserts, so i cannot see them cheaping out on the spring. Also, spring rates suggestions. I am gonna go with about 325# in front, but back i am thinkin of 300# as i have subs and amps in the back and i do alot of highway cruises with my local Pontiac club therefor i usually haul luggage and a full size spare.

The springs I don't know about, but the struts are either kyb gr2 or kyb agx, depending upon what you pick, not koni anything.

They advertise as Koni struts on the website.

    ? False advertising?

hm, 'stage 3' must be a koni setup. i did not know. i always thought they used agx, so i would check into that before you make a choice.

Im not too sure about the springs either, but i just got a set of these. I went with the 300# in the back and its great but i wish i would have went a little higher in the front because i lowered the car quite a bit. I dont bottom out the struts unless its a severe bump but a little heavier spring would have been awesome, maybe like 350# or 375#. and idk about koni's either, but i heard they dont offer that option anymore?

I will email them (HT) and get confirmation on this. If they dont offer the Koni, they should offer something similar such as a Bilstein or Tokico IMO.

They don't do Koni's anymore. We never really had proper Koni struts, you had to weld in the Koni insert in the strut tube housing.

    Just KYB AGX

Bilsteins would not handle the coilovers well....and we never had Tokico.

Better than any other strut available.

    Just have them properly valved.

Like any serious person would do.
