Default *cleaned* Cleaning my carpet out of the car

I have my carpet out of the car. Should I go through a different process than just using something like folex to spot clean stains? Hose it down? My only concern with hosing it is getting water trapped inside and causing mold.

    Here's a couple pics:

after my car got flooded, i took out the carpet, it took a week to dry hanging, the foam will hold a lot of water.

after it hung for a few days i started dumping baking soda all over it. (kills the smell from being flooded) when it was bone dry i used a bissil home rug shampooer, i had to use the hand held attachment for the most part, but it really made a difference. the steam cleaners you can rent from the supermarket will also do a great job.

I found a Bissel deep cleaner at a yard sale. Bought it for $10 and it did a great job on the carpet. And I can use it to clean up after the CAT!

The way i've always done mine is to use a big ass bucket/tub, and fill it full of water, and a cleaner of your choice (I use a whole bottle of simple green) and let it soak for a few hours. Then take it out, and pressure wash it clean. Then, let it sit out in the driveway, moving it every 10-20minutes so that isn't sitting in a puddle. After doing that a few times, she's dry, and looks new

If you go on Rockauto.com you can actually get new carpet in OEM colors that is molded. It also gives the option of having "Mass black" sound deadening added to the carpet for sound deadening.

I am going to be doing this after this Winter.

You have any pictures of the Rockauto carpet? What made it not quite perfect?

i looked it up for a regal, and it looks like it lays over the old carpet, no foam is mentioned at all. just some black matt stuff.

When I replaced carpet, I didn't use the stuff from Rockauto.. I did some research and found people thought the carpet from accmats.com was the best, so that's what I went with.
It's important to spend a lot of time making it right, or it won't turn out good. You have to cut holes in the molded carpet, so it helps if you have the stock carpet to use as a reference.
I actually cut out the pans and some other areas to bulk up the replacement carpet, as it just wasn't thick enough in a few places, even with the extra mass backing. I used glue to ensure a good fit almost everywhere. Even spending all this time, I still ended up with a few areas where it just wouldn't lay completely perfect, nothing to really complain about though.
