Charlotte Auto Fair Fall 2012

Spring Charlotte Auto Fair meet went over very well and was tons of fun, I thought this fall, being a month or so after the Ohio Pontiac Nationals in August, this would be a great cap to the year for the GP drivers.

We had 15 cars with a good few members from this forum, so it was a decent turn out for just locals and a few recruits. They are planning to have the GP's back on pit road like it has been in the past so we'll be closer to the excitement inside the track.

Anyway, it's a great time regardless, the people you meet and friends you make are what it's about. Would love to have more cars show up and show their car. Don't be like me at the spring meet and tell us your car is ugly or imperfect, we can make em look nice.

Alan does a great job organizing the GP meet at the fair, leading the group of GPs into the track, opens his house to us so we can clean cars and hang out order food whatever we want to do. He really is a big part in making these meets a success and he's a very gracious person, so I just wanted to keep him in mind as we start this off.

So come on out, the dates are September 20-23, 2012. It's held at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC.

Looks like you just made yourself incharge if we have any less than 15 cars in the fall that means you fail

There could be but we both know there won't be since pontiac nationals are within 2 weeks of that and we all know for a fact there will be close to 50 there between all the clubs

The dates changed, buddy. Nationals are August 3-5, this spring meet is September 20-23.

My only purpose here is to have a thread with the information about the meet, Alan is over the coordination of the GP show at the fair, we just want some information on this forum about it.

ill be at the fall show. i hope that we get to be inside the track and i should have a few more mods to my car by then.

Im working on finding ppl around greensboro and theres ppl up in Va imm try talk into going

Club Grand Prix will be attending and show on Sep. 22-23 which is the Saturday and Sunday of the event, we still encourage out of state guys try and come in Friday to insure you can get a hotel ill work with Alan to make sure we can grab a couple rooms close to the event to keep the out of state guys from having to navigate through the traffic and all which comes with this event every year. We had a grate turn out for the Spring meet and do appreciate all of the guys who came from out of state and town to attend and show with us newbies are always welcome We had a total of 4 trophy's and 4 gift packages we gave out this show and as long as the numbers seem to be good for the fall meet well have a few more trophy's and gifts as well please feel free to invite your friends who share our love and passion for not only cars but PRIXS lol I up loaded some os the pictures of the spring meet on the thread about the spring show please feel free to check them out if any one has ideas for new trophy ideas please pm me with any ideas for the future event, we like to keep the trophy's changing so we don't have to worry about any one person always getting the same trophy year after year

all right lady's and gents lets see whos interested in the fall auto fair show if you plan on attending please chime in so that we can start making arrangements for both tickets, gifts and trophy's were up for options to keep the trophy's different so let see what we can get rolling were only 3 months out now and theyll fly by before we know it

And the time is finally here were down to having right at 23 days to go brandon, cody, jason hows everything goin guys been pretty busy with our racing so i havent been able to jump on here to much

I've been extremely busy myself, but I'm still in to go. I haven't heard any news of more GPF folk coming other than myself and those you mentioned.

whats that suppose to mean? you so have me lost guy, the're a few more people coming then the ones listed above because of the growing interest in the area but why would you no be interested in coming out (NIXON), the show is awesome and the turn out has been good the last 2 years as well none the less the overall event it sweet!

You already got me on the list Hopefully I got the popcorn machine fixed worked good for the trip back from the nationals.

I'm not going to be able to make it out for Saturday because my wife made plans for my little boys birthday party for Saturday but I would like to come down Sunday. I'm going to be going to the auto fair anyways so why not show the gp. Let me know if we can do it like that or not. If not I'll stop by and see you guys while I'm walking around.
