Steps

After I got my GTP, i noticed the cubby in the center console, where the heated seat switch would be if i had it, was pretty shallow, and not good for much. What to do? MAKE IT BIGGER!

(I'll add pictures up on this as soon as i get a few more cubby pieces to cut up, i didnt take pics the first time around)

1. Get an extra cubby. (Junk Yard, Ed Morad, etc)
2. Get out your dremel tool w/ cut off wheel. (or similar)
3. Inspect the cubby that you removed. You'll notice that at the bottom, there is a pretty distinct spot where the bottom starts to curve in. (Start on the shortest long side... the front and back are different depths) You can freehand cut with the dremel, or you can mark with marker. Cut off the bottom, so it is straight accross. Leave as much material as you can.
4. Get the other cubby.
5. Slice of the upper lip of the cubby. Test fit the two pieces together. Cut off some more from the top of this cubby, until the parts match up as close as possible (they will not be perfect, but close at this point-- the cubby's are not square).
6. I used my dremel to cut the exess pieces I had into strips, that I could use as bracing on the outside to help glue hold it together.
7. Get some good glue, and apply liberally to the outside. (I used gorilla glue) let dry
8. Put sanding drum into dremel. Carefully use the dremel on the inside of the new larger cubby to smooth out the joint.
9. I chose not to use any kind of filler on the joint on the inside. Just paint, or leave alone. It's down inside the cubby, not easy to see.
10. I can now put my cell phone and/or other stuff in the this new, deeper cubby without fear that it will fly out around corners.
