Noob Here<~~~ What are some differences that you notice in this trans vs stock trans?
2000 Buick Regal Gs. 14.811@93.61 mph Bald Tires, Custom CAI, Stock with Stock GP Dual Exhaust.
2000 Ford Taurus SeS "FFV", 2001 Ford CVPI "Police Interceptor" 1995 Mazda Mx-6 LS
It just feels like the car woke up a bit the 1-2 shift is very firm and the 3.29's help the car get up and go
I havent had mine on the track yet but will say it definatly feels like the car woke up
Daves a great guy to deal with aswell answered tons of questions for me...
shipping was on time and a fair rate considering how heavy it is
98 gtp sedan forest green ,S1X intense cam,Intense pcm,Magnaflow exhaust, ubend delete,TEP trans 3.29's,3.4 smoothflow mps,Dyno'd 281hp and 371ft #'s of trq at the wheels

THIS!
I'm the wrong person to ask about the differences I felt... I basically heat treated every part in my tranny, stuff that wasnt suppsed to leak (internally) was, and the FWD band was rendered useless prior to sending it in
the orig trans started slipping ~40k... beat the living snot out of it until it gave out until 75K, Thats when i took it to dave
I'm very hard on my car, it was stilla lease when the first cam went in, and when we did the top swap, and when the second cam went in LOL
It shifts awesome now though. Better then when I first bought it. Nice firm crisp quick shifts.
Couldn't i just modify the valve body? Thats what controls the shift firmness and times? And how much Gas mileage drop with 3.29 vs 2.9x?

you can do a shift kit fairly cheap My trans had a ton of miles and i was building a cammed engine so i opted to buy a built one My gas mileage didnt suffer all that much maybe on the freeway at 70 now with my mods im getting 27ish before i was getting 29ish so its not bad at all

Ive had 3.29s before the trans build, so no change for meJust a loss in milage due to bigger cam/other mods + heavy foot mod :P
