well I was always the one that said "nah I'm not addicted, I can quit when I want..." a year later I cant lol. I mean I've cut WAYYY back, last summer I smoked a pack and a half a day, now im down to about half a pack a day. I've tried quitting, but I can never make it over the 2 day mark. (the 2nd day IS THE WORST)

That sounds like one of those rx's you hear on t.v "taking champex once a day will help you quit, you may suffer suicidal thoughts, herpes, heart attack, drymouth, and in some cases, death." haha. I'd rather just keep smoking....

there's more nicotine in dip and chew than in cigarettes. you could always quit your job so you can't afford them.

Well I've seen people just gradually cut down on how much they smoke and little by little they smoke less and less untill they pretty much stop

The only reason I cut down is because I REFUSE to smoke in my GP. I'm gonna try that and see what happens.....

Just tell yourself it's too much of a pain to buy another pack when you run out. Whe I smoked...I'd go weeks without cigs simply because I didn't have any and didn't feel like going to buy them.

When i quit dipping I just found something to take it's place and keep me busy. I replaced it with chewing gum for a while and then just broke away all together. I still keep an empty can in the center console of the GTP though. Anytime I crave one I grab it and see it empty so I can't get one. Kind of a psychological thing I guess.
    No More GTP for me.

    Rocking the Ricecar now.

Girlfriend smokes, is in nursing school, and her boss (school RN) said she wont sign off on a Letter of Recognition until she quits... halfway joke to make her quit... well she got a 1800# to quit and they said for starters to cut down easy... figure out what daily activity you do the most while you smoke and stop smoking while you do it... as in dont drive while smoking if thats when you smoke the most. It will put it off and allow you get your mind off the cigs at least cutting down on a small point and makes it easier to quit.
