The circled areas on your 4T60E pic are servos, but they apply a reverse and forward band and neither of those are shifting bands. The 700R4/4L60E servo is for 2nd/4th apply and that band is a shifting band. Both transmissions' servos serve the function- to apply a band but only the 700R4/4L60E servo will show any kind of difference in shift firmness as again it applies a band to complete a shift, not just to engage forward or reverse from a stop. |
