I'm working on the same thing right now, with BB's help.

BB did my cluster and HVAC, and I'm doing the rest.

Somewhat a how-to. This is the first switch I did since the bulb was burned out. This is for the Chevy Impala/Monte buttons, so for the Pontiac buttons YMMV.

Our subject:


Cover removed (simply snaps on):


The original bulb in its blue sheath (the bulb glows a weird color, so the blue sheath was used to give it the right color from the factory):

I've gotten a lot more switches done and I'm waiting on more LEDs and resistors to arrive.

Hope this helps. The resistor value depends on the Vf of the LED.
