well if you go that route, any testing you could do the substantiate the cooling effects would be awesome. And if you are going to modify the pan to that point, it would seem beneficial to put an angled drain plug on the back side of the pan (facing away from the front of the car) so that the potential for anything to get snagged on it would be reduced. In addition, jacking the front end up would move the fluid in that direction and more would be drained out.
