05 gxp ????? reviews ?

i have a 2004 gtp compg and i have been searching on the internet for reviews of the 05 gxp and havnt found much so im just wondering if there are really anything pro's or con's between the gtp and gxp. so basically if anyone could leave how they like there gxp that would be awesome and just some pictures for ideas, thanks

People are gonna say the gxp doesnt have a big aftermarket. I would take the GXP, but if you like modding keep the gtp i guess.

Turbo, Cam and headers. Theres not much to do.

I would take one instead and turbo it. there nice but no engine room.

Pro:

lots of extra's
V8 (sorta pro)
big car

Cons:
Same 4t65e as all the other gp's, so its still kinda brittle, but will last if taken car of.
same suspension and wheel bearing problems
DOD system, that on some can cause slight oil comsumption



Other than that, they are still good cars, I'd rock one.

I believe the GXP wasn't made until 2006, I could be wrong, it replaced the GTP in the GP lineup. Lineup went from Base, GT1, GT2, GTP to Base, GT, GXP with the GT getting the supercharger in 06 and newer models

FFDP pretty much hit the nail on the head. the only think i will emphisize is the weak transmission. its really my only complaint with my gxp. otherwise i love everything about it. oh and modding can get a little more expensive than gtps

i love my gxp, but if you want a reliable fast as hell car then spend another 8 or 9 grand on it with a turbo kit and built trans. the trans is weak as ****. gm thought it was a good idea to take a trans built for the v6 and put a v8 to it with no upgrades. but again i looove my gxp.

You would just be better off getting a GTO or T/A

GXP are smexy though.... I would definatly buy one given the chance.

i would rock a gxp with intake and exhaust for a dailey. having said that id only buy one if the money was burning a hole in my pocket. i like modding though so thats just me

Maybe i should have said the gxp runs 12 seconds in the 1/4 mile turbo kit, new tranny, tuned to DOD is off, 3 inch exhaust, cutouts b4 tge cat, lots of work done all new bearings, new suspetion, struts lol lot more

for that cash you could be rollin a cammed out c5 easy

you never buy modded to **** cars.

if your gonna spend money on a v8 get a rwd v8. a better application for the fwd is the gtp.

Im not spending much cuz im trading cash plus my o4 compg lol im getting it for a good deal i just wanted some opinions on the 05 gxp

sure your not spending much money, but think of the money sunk to this car, and with all the mods, the repairs on some of those mods is not cheap, like a motor or trans or turbo.

Your better off not buying a modded car.
